June 2021

  • "An excellent costumed comedy delight." Read Sydney Arts Guide's review A Clue in the Library at Short+Sweet Sydney HERE.

  • The talented students of Brooklyn Prospect Charter School will be performing Everlasting Chocolate Therapy live on Zoom on June 9th as part of their final exam. In my opinion, they should all get an A+. 

  • On June 10, A Clue in the Library will be opening at Short+Sweet Sydney in their Week 3 "Fairlight" line-up! You can check out a preview of all the shows by Theatre Thoughts: HERE.

May 2021

  • Keep the Music Going won 2 awards and received 4 nominations from the Top Indie Film Awards! Steven won Best Writing and the amazing Holly Curran took home Best Actress. Keep the Music Going also received nominations for Best Sci-Fi Short, Best Director (Luci Samp), Best Editing (Michelle Elise Harding), and Best Original Idea.

  • Roaring Epiphany Production Company presented "Steve and Tom II: This Time, It's Personal." featuring four brand new plays by REPC resident writers Steven Hayet and Thomas J. Misuraca, written specifically for Zoom. You can see Steven's Zoom Date (directed by RJ VerChaud) and Super (directed by Jillian F.   • Keep the Music Going, starring Holly Curran & Claire Frederiksen, was named an Official Selection of the 13th Annual Lighthouse International Film Festival in Long Beach Island, NJ this June!

April 2021

February 2021

  • On February 25, as part of their weekly reading series, Theatre Unmasked performed George Orwell's 1989: A "Swift" Ten-Minute Adaptation alongside Kerri Kochanski's A Natural Obsession and Allie Costa's Tofurkey Day.

  • On February 20th, Steven will have a brand new play in Theatre Unmasked's PLACES! 10-Minute Dreams: A Virtual Play Festival. PLACES will have 10 brand-new short plays written, rehearsed, and performed in only one-week. Check out their Facebook Event HERE!

  • On March 20th, Joint Adventure will be part of Talking It Out, a virtual theatre festival supporting mental health awareness. Tickets are FREE, but donations are accepted, with half being donated to the National Alliance on Mental Illness. Tickets are currently available through Eventbrite HERE.

January 2021

  • On January 29, as part of their weekly reading series, Theatre Unmasked performed Keep the Music Going alongside Ryan Bultrowicz's Eating Crayons and Harper Lee's Spilled Tea.

  • On December 14, Playing With Fired will be live-streamed as part of Caravan Productions Christmas Showcase.

November 2020

  • This January, Talking Points will be a part of a live-streamed student director showcase at La Salle High School in Ohio.

  • Steven was asked to write two short Zoom plays for Roaring Epiphany Production Company to be performed this January. Keep an eye out for his plays: Keep The Music Going and Ex Gets the Square. More info coming soon!

October 2020

  • Two of Steven's short plays were selected to be a part of Talking It Out, a virtual theatre festival dedicated to promoting mental health awareness. You can see Joint Adventure on March 20, 2021 and Dinosaur on July 17, 2021. Tickets are on-sale now HERE
